Daily Devotion by JM Bayona. Hebrews 4:13 "And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account." No creature is hidden from the Lord's sight. I'm sure that we think that the sin that we do will not be found out unless someone sees us or someone tells on us. What a misconception. You believe in God, but even the demons believe and tremble, James 2:19. So believe that God knows all that you do in secret and put that faith in action. Know that you will get judged for that whether you are believer in Christ or not. The hope for the believer in Christ is that he will not receive the rightfully owed punishment that is due to him. But, the hope for believers in Christ is not only for the future, but also for today! He provides us with the strength and power to resist the incarcerating power of sin with the Spirit of
God that now resides in us and the renewing of our mind by His word.

Daily Devotion by JM Bayona. 2Corinthians 13:2 ''I warned those who sinned before and all the others, and I warn them now while absent, as I did when present on my second visit, that if I come again I will not spare them'' - The boldness of Paul that seems to have been forgotten by churches today. There is no political correctness to this, but instead a defense of the truth. There is no compromising on behalf of someone's feelings, but instead a need for correction so that God may be glorified through someone's life. Why do we bypass Scriptures that teach church discipline like Matt 18 or 1Corinthians 5? We have even lost the true meaning of ''where two or three are gathered'' and attributed it to a matter of prayer when it really has to do with the correction of a believer. If you are corrected by two or more people and it aligns with God's word, then most likely he is in agreement
with the correction. So be bold and speak Gods truth without compromise. The purpose is in love for them

Call Stephen for more info at 7729854629. 2Corinthians 12:15 ''I will most gladly spend or be spent for your souls.'' - Paul is talking about being spent or spending on behalf of the Corinthian church. He probably doesnt have in mind anything monetary, although that could be included, but instead he means being spent physically and spiritually by just giving his time and effort to them. Lets go back though, and figure out how one gets here. First of all, Paul is fulfilling the great commission - to make disciples, Matt 28:19. This is a good to evaluate how we are doing in fulfilling one of Christ's last command. In order to do this we would need to share our faith. Then we would need to teach them the word and guide them in their life. We must not forget about following up
with them too, like Paul is doing here. We need to be dedicated to making disciples, until we're spent.

He's not trying to befriend the false apostles within the Corinthian church, which was the church he birthed. Thats why its no wonder, when they fell into the blunder of false teaching which is weaker than the true gospel of Jesus. And they put up with it readily enough, they didnt say anything to defend their faith of the gospel of grace. Thats why Paul was upset and disappointed because his example of suffering and serving wasnt what they wanted. Sounds like the blasphemous prosperity gospel and
like Paul we get shunned if we say anything about it. But we must! Cause many are deceived through lust.

Daily devotion by JM Bayona. 2Corinthians 10:5 ''We...take every thought captive to obey Christ.'' - A sudden switch in moods by Paul the Apostle in chapter ten from the first nine. Starting in this chapter, Paul begins his rebuke almost drastically. So sudden in fact, that some believe that the rest of the book might have been a completely different book at first. But the argument for that point of view is very weak and doesnt change what is being said at all. The Apostle begins to address the false teachers that we hear about in the first letter to the Corinthians. Paul says that the weapons against these false teachers are not of the flesh, v.4, but instead the spiritual ones of Ephesians 6:10ff. He says that in order to purify the church they need to take EVERY thought captive and bring it under obedience to Christ, to make sure it lines up with God's word. And the same goes for our
own minds. We MUST examine ALL of our thoughts in the light of Scripture and make it submit to God.

It is superfluous, or redundant, or over said. Paul is speaking specifically about financial support for ministry. He says its redundant, its over said, its superfluous for him to talk to them about it because they already know the deal. They should already know whats expected. Basically, you are saved, you know the Lord, the gospel has changed your life and you know it could change people's lives. So you should now be committed to giving your life and your financial support to that cause. First of all, our lives are not ours, its God's, and neither is our money. Its all His, we are just stewards, or borrowers. We say we trust Him with our souls but dont trust Him with our finances, what kind of
faith is that? Does not Christ say that if He takes care of the birds He WILL take care of you(Luk12)

Daily Devotion by JM Bayona. 2Corinthians 8:9 ''For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for our sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.''- Eternal, unchanging, royal, self-sustaining...that is who He is. Vulnerable, impovershed, susceptible...is who He became. The king became a servant, so that the servants may be kings. What an awesome act and gift! Why do many reject it? Unbelief perhaps? Too good to be true? Thats absolutely correct! But it is true! I implore you, as an ambassador to Christ, be reconciled with God, be brought to peace with Him, through the gift of His Son's sacrifice. Any other sacrifice, including yourself, is like a filthy rag...its no good, and please dont be arrogant in thinking otherwise. Why be brought to peace? Do you not think that you are at war with Him? Look at your life now as an example.
its going rough for a reason. If its going well, He's storing up His wrath. Let Christ absorb it.

It is important to keep the phrase in context, and this portion's authorial intent says exactly what we would take it as...God as a comforter. He is the encourager. Ever been feeling discouraged, disheartened, intimidated, or depressed? What did you do to relieve that? If it has anything other than trusting in the God who comforts, I would be worried. Why? Well, because whatever it was that comforted or encouraged you in that time could be seen as an idol. It is something in place of where God should be. Anything other than Him is temporary and artificial, though you may not think so. God needs to be that one who comforts you, whether thats through His word, through
prayer, or through godly counsel from someone. God is the comforter for the downcasted! Trust Him alone!

This was the previous verse. We arent promised tomorrow, so today is the day to commit your life to Christ. Thats why Paul follows it with the motive that he is not willing to be an obstacle to anyone coming to the Son. He wants no fault to be found in his ministry to non-believers. This led me to think about myself and how I could be a hinderance to someone's salvation, to someone's view of God, to someone acknowledging Christ as the only way to be with the Father. Have I been an example of His love for them? Has my behavior been in accordance to that of Christ? Has my speech been wholesome and edifying or demeaning and
insulting? Have I been allowing the Spirit to work through me to share His truths? Have I? Have you?

In its context, or its surrounding passages, the writer was explaining our new immortal body that we will have in heaven. In the verse of discussion we see that this is prepared for us by God. It states that it is for believers, or those who have the Spirit from God. Romans 8:9 tells us that only those who have the Holy Spirit are of God. The Spirit is also given as a guarantee that you will eventually have a heavenly body. This tells me that once you have the Spirit, you will always have Him because He is the guarantee, thus you will never go to hell. The problem is we deceive ourselves into thinking that we have
the Spirit because we had some type of ''experience''. The only proof lies in a currently obedient life

What do you boast in? What do you brag about? Do you brag about your skills? Your knowledge? Your stuff? Paul leads the example in saying that he doesnt brag about himself, but only in Jesus as being Lord. How vastly different is that from the things that we have pride in. In this time and age, there is a sort of art in learning to exalt yourself above others. Thats why we are called to be sanctified and set apart from the world and its habits. We are to only boast in the things of God, thats why Paul says that he proclaims Jesus and himself as being a servant to others. Are you secure enough to call yourself a servant of others and act like it?
The best leaders are truly servants of those they lead - like Christ served us, as a servant leader.

Paul is boasting about the Corinthians in this portion of Scripture. Imagine...an Apostle telling you how proud he is of you (I mean a real Apostle, not the ones who call themselves apostles today). They were living as letters from Christ delivered by Paul. How does your letter read? Does it read bickering, unloving, selfish behavior? Its not what you read about your letter, but what others are reading. Are you humble enough to ask others how you read and receive the feedback well, without making excuses. Try it out. Ask the closest person to you, preferably your spouse, without giving them
any retaliation. Seek it out as a growing experience and make your letter worthy of being from Christ.

Some of you might remember that slang rhetoric from before. It meant, do you understand me. Well, Paul meant it in a different way. He says that we put off an aroma, in a spiritual sense, not meaning your B.O., so those of you that dont practice hygiene very well still stand a chance. So what is your aroma? Is it one of death or one of life? Think about it before you answer. The next verse answers for us. ''to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life.'' So we should put off both, but it just depends on to who. To another believer we put off a fragrance of life, but to an unbeliever we put off one of death. Why? Because true believers
will remind unbelievers that there is a judgment and one that they will be unprepared for. Smell me?

Daily Devotion by JM Bayona. Typo on last one. 2Tim4:3 instead of 4:13. 2Corinthians 1:9,10 ''Indeed, we felt that we have received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.''- On a much more encouraging note, Paul exhorts the Corinthians with his second letter. Paul comments on the comfort that God provided him with and will also provide the Corinthians with, as well as what he offers you. Now Paul is no different than any other believer in the eyes of God - He loves us all without partiality! I write that because we like to make excuses and say, ''God helped Paul because he's special. I havent done what he has done.'' But God doesnt judge us by our accomplishments. Paul says that he was at the point of
death and God helped and now he has a hope that He will do it again. You too must grasp this promise!

Daily Devotion by JM Bayona. 2Tim 4:13 ''For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but have itching ears.'' - That time is here. People just dont want to hear what is true and these are people who are supposedly believers. They just arent happy with the truth. They want to hear something new. Well an old saying says that if its new, its not true, and if its true, its not new. Christians should thirst for the truth. We should have an undying passion to hear it and preach it. It is with this truth that God separates us from the world. It is this truth that sanctifies us and makes us more like Him. And this truth is found in His word, John 17:17. Diligent study of the word of God must be pursued! And why not? We pursue earthly goals with such passion and determination, should heavenly goals be any less? The Lord commends a man's shrewdness in Luke 16 and advises
that believers should be likewise in the things of God. So study them Scriptures like you do textbooks.

The truths in it could be expressed for the next few devotions. The implications that it could have on our lives is tremendous, if we learn to trust in it. First of all, all Scripture...not part, not only the New Testament, not only the parts that affect you, but all...all Scripture. All of it is breathed out by God. It has come straight from His mouth. The reason we have such a hard time making time to study His word could be because we doubt that it is truly from Him. Those of us that have embraced this truth have been experiencing a
changed life because of it. Why? Because its capable of teaching, reproof, correction, and training.

Daily Devotion by JM Bayona. Thanks goes out to Jahdy for being a Berean and pointing out the typo in yesterday's devotion. Instead of Acts 17:17, it should have been Acts 17:11. Todays Scripture deals similarly with that. 2Tim 2:15 ''Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.'' - Do you want to make yourself approved to God? It says here to do your best in rightly handling the word of truth, or the gospel, which can be Scripture in its entirety. So the Lord expects us to be Bereans. Whats a Berean? Well, we talked about it yesterday and so, if you didnt look it up and find my error, this is what Acts 17:11 says, ''Now these Jews [Bereans] were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.'' These
guys studied the word. We study in other areas of our life, but have a problem with what REALLY matters

For questions or comments, reply or email jmbjr23@cs.com. 2Tim 1:13 ''Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.''- The repetitive theme of the letters to Timothy seem to have warnings against false teachers. Its obvious that they were infiltrating the church from the very beginning and its no different now. But how are we to know what is false? Paul says to Timothy and likewise to us, to keep the sound words from him. For us, that is the Holy Scriptures. It is so important for us to make it a habit to dig into God's word with the tools that are available so that we can know what He has to say and not be completely dependent on what another man says. Please understand though, God has placed true teachers in the church that are committed to His truth. One shouldn't be dependent on himself
and forsake all guidance. It just means that we are to check those who teach. Be a Berean Acts 17:17

For questions or comments, reply or email jmbjr23@cs.com. 1Tim 6:1 ''Let all who are under a yoke as slaves regard their own masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be reviled.''- The word of God is living and powerful (Heb 4:12) and so, just because slavery has been outlawed in the States doesnt mean that this Scripture falls flat. The Scriptures transcend time and culture. There is a principle that is being taught here. In fact, the slavery that is spoken of here is not the forced slavery that you may think about. One out of three people were slaves in the first century in this area. Slaves were sometimes better off than those that were free and some of them were even voluntary. How is this applicable to us today? Voluntary slaves and masters are todays employees and employers. So the Scripture says that employees
should honor their employers by working to the best of their ability because you represent God's name.

When will they be made visible for all to see? Will it be in this lifetime or at the judgement? Imagine, your life being on display for all to see, every great and awesome act that you believe you have done, along with all the wicked things that were done when you thought no one was looking. It doesnt matter when your sin is going to be exposed, the importance lies on whether or not you are arrogant enough to think that you are good enough to withstand the judgement. I know for sure that I would DEFINITELY NOT pass. And the truth is that nobody would and God knows that. That is the part that makes the gospel necessary. You see, there is someone who will
stand in your place at the judgement and take the blame for all that you have done. He is the Christ.

Daily Devotion by JM Bayona. 1Tim 4:10 ''For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God...''- Though primarily most people are open to the belief in God, while sharing my faith, I have come in contact with atheists and agnostics. I started to consider the ways of a person who does not believe. I mean, how could you not? How could someone live their life without purpose? That would mean that everything one works for in life would eventually add up to nothing. There would be no goal to achieve, because once you reach one, there would be another and another and another. Then you would pass all your achievements to your children and the cycle would continue until the end of the human race. Then what? NOTHING! Thats why Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 1:3 ''What does man gain by all the toil at which he toils under the sun.'' NOTHING...unless there is a God.
Thats why Paul writes to this end we toil because we actually have a hope...a purpose...a living God

For questions or comments, reply or email jmbjr23@cs.com. 1Tim 3:16 ''Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.''- This mystery is truly great! What is this mystery? That He was manifested in the flesh. Well, who's He? Well, God, who is spirit (see John 4:24), was manifested, or made visual. How was He made visual? Through Jesus. Which shows that Jesus was God and that He existed beforehand. He was vindicated by the Spirit, which is seen in His resurrection. He was seen by angels in His ascension. We can see that He is proclaimed amongst the nations still today and believed on in the world by you and I. He was also taken up in glory to be seated at the right hand of the Father. Consider yourself
bless if this mystery has been revealed to you because to some this is veiled, or hidden (see 2Cor 4:3)

Daily Devotion by JM Bayona. 1Tim 2:1,2 ''First of all, then I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.''- Paul tells Timothy, and likewise us, to pray for needs and thank on behalf of others. He specifically mentions those in high positions. Do you pray for your boss? Your mayor? Your governor? How about your president? We sure do have alot to say about them, dont we? But we dont bother praying for them. We have an election approaching and most of us may know who we are gonna vote for, but what if the other guy wins? Are we still gonna be respectful to who he is and his position? Or are we gonna live in unbelief and forget that God is in control of all? As is written in Romans 13:1, ''Let every person be subject to
the governing authorities...and those that exist have been instituted by God.'' We still need to vote.

For questions or comments, reply or email jmbjr23@cs.com. 1Tim 1:16 ''But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.''- First of all, Paul says ''as the foremost''. In this statement he is referring to himself, as we would see in the previous verse, that he says he is the foremost sinner of all. Other translations say that he is the chief of sinners. Continuing on though, Paul says that he received mercy for that reason so that Jesus would show his patience through him. Daily Devotion by JM Bayona. 1Tim 1:3-5 ''...that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine...the aim of our charge is love...''- It seems as if almost every letter we read from Paul includes a warning against false doctrine or false teachings. There are even cases where Paul actually names certain people, such as in verse 20 of the same chapter. Why does Paul do this? This was how important it was to purge the church from false teaching that could lead people astray. So, why do I get looked down upon for doing the same today? Is it because some of the people I name are highly liked amongst people? That brings to mind 1Corinthians 1, where Paul accuses the church of lining up with certain people and dividing themselves, instead of unifying themselves under the one leadership of Christ. Who are you being led by, a fallible man or the word of God? Finally, Paul
says that this identifying of false doctrine or teachers should be down out of love from a pure heart.

Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.''- Paul says that he brings to the Corinthians that which he received and that is that Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead, which has been predicted beforehand in the Scriptures. So, not only has it been foretold, but Peter and the Apostles seen him alive afterward too. But couldnt they lie about it? Then what about the 500 people that seen him? You know what, Paul says, they are still alive if you want to ask them about it. In the Jewish culture you needed 2
witnesses to make that testimony true. As far as I know, in today's society we only need 1 eye witness.

(ESV) - Paul is discussing the topic of orderly worship. Here he says that if anyone prophecies, let others weigh what he is saying. In others translations it says to let others judge what is being said. Now speaking directly on the context of what is written, Paul is talking about prophets in his day, who would speak on behalf of the Lord. But today, since the Scripture is complete, everything that is done must be measured in light Scripture. So if someone was speak on behalf of the Lord today, it would have to be Scriptural. So foot be afraid to call someone out if what you believe they are saying is not biblical. It would be not only for their benefit, but also for your own because you might be the
one who is in the wrong. And that way you would learn. So, judge with a righteous judgement! John7:24

Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?...'' (ESV) - These questions by Paul are rhetorical. The answer to them would be NO! Not all will work miracles. Not all would be prophets or apostles. Not all have the gift of healing. Most important to me is that not all will speak in tongues. Please understand what is being written today. There is a heresy that is predominant in the church that teaches that when you are baptized in the Spirit, YOU WILL SPEAK in tongues. That is simply not true! Paul says that not all will speak in tongues. There are a diversity of gifts for a diverse people. Dont let anyone tell you that you arent fully walking with God because you havent
spoken in tongues. Ask for the baptism and you shall receive, and it doesnt have to manifest in tongues.

Can you believe that? I mean, could you say that about yourself? I know I cant. I wouldnt want anyone to follow me and the way I live my life. I mean, I try, by the power of the Spirit to live life in accordance to the Scriptures, but I am also extremely knowledgeable of areas that I abound in fault. Because of that, I would direct people to the Scriptures, which is Christ. Dont get me wrong, I dont take this as a liberty to sin and use the excuse that no one is perfect. It is my duty to pursue a resemblance to Christ and when I fail, I will by no means say, ''Oh well. Im not perfect'', but instead, ''Forgive me Lord. Help me to live more like Your Son.'' Yet, the Holy Spirit was content in leading Paul to
write ''imitate me''. That's awesome evidence of his life. May we also seek to have such a testimony.

For instance, the Greek word for ''beginning'' used in v.2 is ''arche'', which is a different word that is commonly used for ''beginning''. Instead, ''arche'' not only denotes ''beginning'', but even before the beginning. This tells us that Luke retrieved accounts from reliable sources, but that he was also guided in his writing by something before the beginning - the Holy Spirit and so his Scripture was God breathed out, 2Tim3:16. F.Deira points out that Luke mentions his sources and gives them credit, as Romans 13:7 explains that respect should be given to whom respect is due. Do you try to make it a point to give credit to those who deserve it? R.Hernandez elaborates on the fact that Luke writes an
''orderly account'', one that strives to avoid error. He did this by seeking out God's truth. Do you do that?

He declares that his writings are directly from eye witnesses, that he has derived evidence from orderly accounts. His efforts were to assure believers that it is all true and that we should trust it. He says it is so that you ''have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.'' R. Hernandez adds that it is so believers can have assurance in what was written so that they too may pass on its truths to others. F. Deira applies this passage as a way to minimize doubt amongst believers and so that they may have confidence in living their Christian walk. Why? Because Luke was aware that there would be
skepticism in what was written. He almost exudes his own unbelief by delivering such accuracy. <><

Work as if you are working for Him. Even the things that we do for free, we need to do to glorify God. Relationships need to be done to the glory of God. The way we take care of our possessions, which the Lord has given us, should be maintained to the glory of God. This includes our homes, our vehicles, etc... Our entertainment activites should be done to the glory of God. What we watch on TV or the games we play. But on a more deeper level, EVERYTHING should be done to the glory of God. Every word we speak should bring glory to God. Every handshake, every
smile, every gesture. They should all be genuine and not routine, not out of habit, but filled with love.

(ESV) - It might be difficult to understand this passage in the way Paul meant it to be understood, but I'll try my best to unpack its truths in the next 500 characters. Paul worked his secular job during his ministry, so he says that though he could rightfully receive material benefits from his ministry, such as food or money (v14), he will surrender that right because he believed it would be a better testimony to the Corinthians. It was all about God's glory to Paul and not about what God has for him. What about you? Is your walk with God about seeking what God has in store for you
or is it about glorifying God? Would you still glorify God despite a lack of blessings in your life?

(ESV) - In this chapter, Paul directs the Corinthian's question on food offered to idols. One of their arguments was that all idols in reality dont exist since there is only one God. Paul agrees, but corrects them by telling them that it could still be sin if they cause others to think thats its ok to offer food to idols that they really believe exist. But, thats not the point I wanted to illustrate with this Scripture. Read it again and split it in half at ''and''. It says there is only one God, the Father, who made all. Then it says, there is one Lord, Jesus, who made all. Well, it had to be only one of them who could make all, and since there is only one God, that
means that Jesus and the Father are One, the One God. Oh wait..., Jesus already said that in John10:30

(ESV) - I have probably read this verse several times, but this time it worried me. ''Do not be deceived...''. Apparently, many will be deceived. Because no sexually immoral person, no idolater, adulterer, homosexual, thief, greedy person, etc..., will go to heaven. That SHOULD scare us and worry us. But, the beautiful part is the following verses. ''And such were some of you. But you were washed..you were justified in...Jesus''! Praise God! But does this mean that we can continue in that type of lifestyle? Absolutely not. Because a life that
continues on that track shows that he/she may have never been washed. Thats why he says, dont be deceived!

Purge the evil person from among you.'' (ESV) - A common misunderstanding in Scripture is Matt 7:1, which says ''Judge not, that you be not judged.'' To fully understand Scripture, it is important to take passages in its context. In that same chapter, Jesus says ''You will know them by their fruits'' in vs 16, which is a form of judgment. What He is saying is not to have a condemning and unforgiving attitude of judging others, but a discerning judgment is essential. Even in John 7:24, the Lord says to judge with right judgment and not by appearance. In todays passage, Paul says that we have no business judging those outside the church, but we are obligated to judge those in the church. So why do people get upset

(ESV) - In this portion of Scripture, Paul is setting himself apart from the other preachers who preached in Corinth. They proved to be arrogant and boasted in themselves. Paul explains that its not about us, or how excellent we speak, but about God and His power in us. In this Scripture, Paul exclaims how he believes his conscience is clean and that he cannot find anything in himself that would disqualify him. But..., he concludes, that doesnt mean anything because he cant trust his own deceptive heart; as the Lord says, the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it (Jer 17:9). Thats why he wrote, 'but I am not thereby acquitted.' Why?

Why do we need to witness and share our faith with others when the Lord knows who are His elect? Would they not still come to Him whether or not we preach the gospel to them? These can be natural questions for any Christian. The answers lies in this verse - ''We are fellow workers with God''. Isn't that awesome! God has planned to use us to fulfill His will. He could do anything on His own and is completely sufficient to do it all by Himself, but He chose to use us in His plan to save us. He gives us that desire to pray for others so that He would do it. Our part in the work is to pray and ask, His part is to do it. Our part is to share the gospel to all, His part is to save them. Again, He
has chosen to use the foolishness of mankind to do His work. Lets praise Him for including us in it.

Our duty is to share the truth with all, without partiality. The gospel appears as nonsense to the natural person, which is the non-spiritual, and until God awakens them, they will never be able to understand it. It is amazing that God decides to use us to bring about His plan of salvation by providing that seed and allowing us to water it,
but it is only God who provides that increase (chapter 3). So, do not be discouraged by the folly. ><>

(ESV) - There is one and only one thing that we have from God to guide us. What is it? It is the Holy Spirit. But, why is it so hard to understand how the Spirit is guiding us? I mean, what if someone says that the Spirit says this, but another says that the Spirit told them something completely opposite? What do we do then? Who is right? Well, in this case, and in ALL cases, we still do what the Spirit says - in His word. The Holy Spirit is the One who wrote the word, so if we just stick to what it says, we will always be sure to be guided by Him. So when we have those who have smooth talk, flattery, have many followers, and appear to be of God, but are contrary to the word of God, we should regard
them as deceivers. The word says that even if an angel tells you something different, dont believe it!

Romans 14:11 ''As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.'' (ESV) - EVERY knee will bow. EVERY tongue shall confess. Whether a believer or not, at that time, we will all be believers. Being subjected to His glory will cause us all to fall in awe. But the choice to be a believer or not is only available now. We could either bow our knee and confess with our tongue volunterily, or be forced to do it. We should all understand, that at the end of our life or at the end of time, there will be no such thing as an atheist. Everyone will believe in God - those in heaven as well as those in hell. Dont get it twisted, the Lord doesnt expect you to just believe that He exist, but to know that salvation is only found through His Son. Not only are we
expected to know that He exist and that it is through Christ we get to Him, but we must bow the knee.

I just dont understand why you choose to carry it. Didnt anyone offer to carry it for you? Thats true - many of us do have our own weighty sack to lug around. Not I, though. Someone graciously offered to carry my sack and I had to accept the offer. I am much more free to live now. As more items accumulate in the sack, he continues to carry the wretched thing. I could just imagine how unbearable my sack would be now if I were still carrying that baggage. Because of such a gracious offer in carrying my load, I find myself going where he goes - its only natural. He told me that if I came to the end and still carried my own sack, that I would have to purchase it, which I couldnt afford. He also told me that He's willing to carry yours

Romans 12:9,10 ''Let love be genuine...Love one another with brotherly affection.'' (ESV) - If anything was to define a Christian, it wouldnt be his knowledge of the word or his supposed manifestations of the Spirit; but it would be the evidence of his love for others. In John 13:35, the Lord stresses that people will know that we are His by our love for one another. This is very convicting for me, as I write this, because I am not confident on whether or not I portray the characteristic of being a genuinely loving person. I am not saying that Im not a loving person, but for Christians, that characteristic should be dominate and obvious to others. I should be living my life in confidence of knowing that I am known as a loving and caring
person. What will your survey portray? Will your co-workers, siblings, or peers label you as loving?

From God was everything. God created it all. There is nothing that exists that was not created by God. He then says, ''through him''. It was all created through Christ, as stated in Colossians 1:16. And finally, it was all created ''for him''. Everything was created for Him. There is so much teaching today that concentrates on the believer and what they deserve in salvation. These teachers focus on what man achieves through a relationship with
God instead of God himself accomplishing His will. It is all about God and who He is. Glorify God today

(ESV) - Are you seeking to establish your own righteousness? Are you expecting to achieve the promises of heaven by the excellent duties that you have accomplished in your life thus far? ''God would not pour His wrath upon someone like me. I give to charity all time and make it a point to treat others fairly. Plus, God knows that Im trying.'' I see. So, it is a righteousness of your own you seek. You know what? I cant fool myself into thinking that Im a better person than I really am. God judges the intents of everyone's heart. So when my heart has sinful thoughts, I am already guilty. Once we realize that there is God's
righteousness to be sought after and that we can attain it through Jesus Christ, it is the route we must travel.
